EFIB is the organisation which includes all the associations and bioengineering companies. It wishes to improve bioengineering as a
constructive discipline having with its own technical, ecological and environmentally friendly sphere with the use of living materials.
These purposes are persued by using natural construction modes and exploitation of the great potential of the materials used. The Federation was founded in 1995 and it has gathered all the traditions and the experience of the different European associations, which started their activity between 1980 and 1990, even if in some countries such as Austria, Germany or Switzerland, bioengineering was only operative starting from the beginning of the 1970. |
